This workshop is designed for those wishing to gain the skills to practice advanced hip opening asana and deepen their existing practice. The hips hold tension and become tight from daily repetitive activities such as sitting at office desks and driving. Tight hips can lead to lower back pain and imbalances throughout the rest of the body. By exploring hip opening postures and deepening your existing hip opening poses, Lalit will help you release energy and tension in this area and improve your overall asana practice.
Lalit began studying at traditional Indian yoga schools known as Gurukulams at the age of 7 and he is honoured to have studied Yoga under some of the most well-known and respected Yoga Masters in India, including Sri BKS Iyengar and Sri K Pattabhi Jois.
Still regularly training in train Mysore with Sharath Jois as a humble and devoted student, Lalit is an authorised Ashtanga Yoga Teacher from the ‘Shri K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute’.
About Lalit’s Workshops
Drawing on 30 years of yoga practice and 15 years of teaching, Lalit Kumar has designed a series of Asana Workshops to deepen your practice, improve your alignment and build confidence. His workshops are offered to students at both beginner and advanced levels, and are also highly beneficial to yoga teachers wishing to develop the art of adjustment, sequencing and alignment, and enhancing their existing practice.
Using the Ashtanga Primary Series as a platform, Lalit will teach you how to practice advanced asana in a safe, guided environment. Workshops are two hours in length and include Yoga Philosophy and Pranayama.
