Over the past 6 years the Belfast Hills Partnership has been undertaking annual Community Archaeology Digs across the hills – this bus tour will revisit these various sites and share some of the history uncovered. These sites include Cave Hill’s rath, Slievenacloy’s enclosure, Divis’ cashel and hut sites, Carnmoney Hill’s limekiln and farmhouse. Other heritage, wildlife and archaeology points of interest will also be discussed.
This event includes some walking, but those with limited mobility can be catered for. Bring a packed lunch. Wear outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. Suitable for children over 12.
