Urban Tracking
(No Ball Games)
John Baucher

Opens Thursday 7th Dec, 6-8pm. Exhibition continues until 31st Dec2017

John Baucher is one of Belfast’s leading photographers with a twenty year practice.

In Urban Tracking (No Ball Games) Baucher is taking the opportunity to utilise the gallery space in an innovative and unique manner.

In recent years Baucher has been stretching his creativie output to include integrating found, retrieved and gifted flags. New and old work will be displayed alongside each other as Baucher teases out threads and thoughts from his notebooks (created during the past 10 years he has been living in inner East Belfast).

There will be a chalkboard (built from pallets) which will be made in situ and used throughout the exhibition.

Baucher will display various sets of photographs throughout the exhibition to enable him to judge their relevancy to each other and the overall body of work.

This is a great opportunity to see and engage with the Artist; and to track the creative process of dealing with sensitive and socially engaged work.

John Baucher will be giving an Artist Talk with guests on the 16th December 2-4pm at the East Side Gallery.

In association with FRAMEWERK Gallery and Arts Council NI.
