During his career at Oxford University, C.S. Lewis regularly took part in Socratic Debates, engaging with some of the most pressing theological and cultural issues of his day. In the spirit of these Socratic Debates our team of gifted speakers — Pádraig Ó Tuama (leader of the Corrymeela Community), Fidelma Carolan (Trade Union and LGBT activist), David Smyth (Evangelical Alliance) and Tracey Harkin (Iona Institute), ably chaired by William Crawley (BBC), will be tackling the motion, “This house believes the church should support same-sex marriage.” It promises to be an interesting, thoughtprovoking and very timely debate.
