Learn about the history of Ireland and your ancestors' lives and migration experiences first-hand through assisted research with our expert genealogists in the Belfast and Dublin archives, complemented by excursions through Ireland's beautiful landscape to some of its most historic sites.

Each day of the conference presents delegates with a choice of assisted research in the archives with our team of experienced genealogists or an excursion to a place of historic interest, including Newgrange burial tomb, Derry/Londonderry, Barons Court (the finest private home in Ireland), Dublin, and Giant's Causeway.

For those of you wishing to enjoy the enchanting landscape and historic sites of their ancestors we have also devised new tours this year which will include a guided tour of Newgrange (visit confirmed) passage tombs at Bru na Boinne; a tour of Co. Down including; Down Cathedral, the burial place of St Patrick; the 12th Century Cistercian Abbey, Inch Abbey and Saul Church, the reputed spot of St Patrick's first sermon and church in Ireland; a tour of Armagh, the Ecclesiastical Capital of Ireland including: St Patrick's Cathedral; Armagh Public Library; and the Cardinal Tomas O Fiaich memorial library and Archive; as well asa visit to Ireland's only accessible rope-bridge at Carrick-a-rede

Our conference is the perfect combination of work and pleasure, offering an engaging and entertaining mix of research in the archives with the help of the Foundation’s experienced genealogists, talks from acknowledged experts and a variety of tours, all of which make for a memorable experience.
